Life is a choice. The choice here is not about whether or not to have pain.

It is whether or not to live a

valued, meaningful life.

Steven Hayes

My practice specifically on helping older teens, emerging adults (18-26) and adults learn skills and strategies to manage concerns such as anxiety, depression, life and relationship transitions and negative self image and grief.

My goal is to empower you to learn to live in the NOW. We can't control what has happened to us or what will happen but we can live the life we want despite any thoughts, feelings, images, memories, or sensations that try tell us otherwise.  You will learn to identify what is really important to you and take committed action toward "unhooking" from unhelpful thinking patterns and behavior. As a result, you are empowered  move toward a life that reflects who you are.

My prior experience includes working in a community- based crisis intervention team, K-12 school social work and college counseling. In addition to being a therapist, I'm a Certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor in Adult, Fire/EMS, Older Adult, Public Service and Higher Education modules.
